What does internal packing mean in international shipping? What is the difference from the production?

Shipping export Customers will choose to send their goods to the port according to their own suitable way. At present, after the production of goods is completed, there are two main ways to send goods to the port.

What does internal packing mean in international shipping? What is the difference from the production?

One is internal loading, which refers to the operation mode in which the consignor sends the goods to the terminal or warehouse designated by the booking forwarder, and the goods are packed and collected at the port by the terminal or warehouse. At the beginning, the internal loading was limited to Marine LCL (LCL), and later the meaning of internal loading expanded to FCL (FCL), that is, the shipper sent the goods to the designated station, and the station arranged to make orders, pick up boxes, packing, port of collection, etc.

A concept corresponding to internal loading is production loading, which is usually what we call a "trailer", which directly pulls the empty container to the origin or the factory for packing.

Production loading is to use a trailer to pick up the empty boxes of the shipping company at the port yard, and then drag the empty boxes directly to the origin of the goods (factory) for loading, after loading, and then drag back to the port yard, waiting for customs declaration, loading, shipping.

In this way, the shipper does not need to send the goods to the yard first, but directly pull the container to the factory for packing. The shipper can find a team to haul the container to the factory for loading, or entrust the booking freight forwarder to arrange a trailer to the factory for loading.

In short, the inner loading is that the factory or the customer first sends the goods to the warehouse designated by the forwarder, and the forwarder entrusts the warehouse to arrange the packing before entering the port. Production loading means that the freight forwarder arranges a trailer to pull the container to the factory or the place designated by the customer to load, and then directly into the port.

How to judge the interior or production?

Whatever the shipper gets is the "delivery notice", which needs to be sent to the designated station or warehouse, is the internal installation.

All the consignors get the "transfer order" (also known as the packing order), need to oneself or entrust the trailer company to make orders, pick up boxes, to the origin of the packing, return boxes, port of collection, is the production of loading.

In addition, in international shipping, the whole box is basically a trailer, that is, the production is mainly, and the internal installation is supplemented. Because the production loading is to pull the empty box directly to the factory, one-time packing. The interior is loaded twice and unloaded once. First load the car in the factory, unload the car at the internal loading site, and then load it into the container, one more loading and unloading, increasing the cost, and multiple loading and unloading are more likely to lead to cargo damage.
